TARLAC CITY (PIA) — Department of Education (DepEd) will be holding modular distant learning on October 31 and November 3.

This is to give way for reorganizing and cleaning the classrooms and other facilities used in the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) 2023.

DepEd Regional Director May Eclar pressed that modular instruction is a constant practice to assure continuous quality education among learners.

“We will not be holding face-to-face classes on October 31 and November 3, instead, we will be implementing a modular form of distant learning in all schools,” she said.

Meanwhile, the agency reactivated its BSKE 2023 Task Force to address the issues and concerns of the Boards of Canvassers from pre-elections to post elections.

“Our teachers from the various Schools Division Offices who will serve during the elections have attended staff orientations organized by the Commission on Elections as well as joined the inspection for election paraphernalia to be equipped in facilitating the voting process,” Eclar furthered.

There will be a total of 7,126 members of the Board of Canvassers; 71,366 members of the Electoral Board; 3,527 DepEd Supervisor Officials (DESO); and 4,431 DESO Support Staff in Central Luzon for BSKE 2023. (CLJD/GLSB-PIA 3)
