Thus, Gov.  Dennis “Delta” Pineda assured the Muslim community in Pampanga of the provincial government’s unwavering support as he led the “Kapitolyo sa Barangay” program in Barangay San Pedro here on March 27.

The initiative was in response to a letter from acting president Samad Zacaria of the Muslim Community of the City of San Fernando, requesting aid for Ramadan and a personal meeting with the governor.

In response, Pineda organized the program, where he engaged with 599 Muslims from Barangays Juliana, Lourdes, Calulut, San Nicolas, Sto. Rosario, and San Pedro.

During the program, Governor Delta emphasized equal treatment for all Kapampangans, regardless of faith. Zacaria expressed his gratitude, recognizing the impact of the support of the Capitol on the Muslim community as they marked the end of Ramadan.

Photos: Ryan Macatuno/ Pampanga PIO
