BAGAC, Bataan — A road user on Friday questioned the reasons given for the delay in the construction of the Alauli Flyover in Pilar, Bataan.
“Ganun pala at may problema pa sa right-of-way ay bakit sinarhan at sinimulan nila para lang itiwangwang ng napahabang panahon. Hindi makatuwiran ‘yun,” Nick Ancheta, municipal administrator of Bagac, queried.
Portions of the four- to six-lane Roman Superhighway were closed to traffic with only one lane in opposite direction available.
Ancheta described himself as an ordinary road user representing the sentiment of the affected residents. Commuters and motorists from Bagac pass through the affected area of the construction.
District Engineer Ulysses Llado of the 2nd Engineering District in an earlier interview said that the construction of the Alauli Flyover was delayed due to change in design from four to two lanes and right-of-way issues.
The flyover will rise at the intersection of the Roman Superhighway and Gov. J.J. Linao Road in Barangay Alauli.
Ancheta in an earlier social media page asked the Department of Public Works and Highways to explain the cause of the delay in construction.
“Ano na ang nangyari sa ginagawang overpasss sa Alauli? Grabeng parusa na sa mga motorista ang ginagawang overpass na ito. Ginagawa nga ba? Baka naman walang kapital yung contractor kaya di matapos-tapos,” he said.
“Halos isang taon nang nagdurusa ang mga motorista sa lugar na ito. Calling DPWH, kalampagin nyo ang contractor nito,” Ancheta said.
His social media page earned many comments of complaint. “Bakit may no left turn pa?” “Layo tuloy ng likuan,” “Parusa sa aming taong bayan na lagi dumaraan,” “Laking perhuwisyo sa araw-araw, Ipa-Tulfo na yan,” said some of the comments.
