State-owned Development Bank of the Philippines (DBP) welcomes two new members of its Board of Directors  —  Rafael L. Reyes and Jeannie N. Sandoval.

Director Rafael Llamado Reyes is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FIGS, Inc. His previous affiliations include Chief Executive Officer of Miascor Holdings, Inc.; Executive Director, Mergers & Acquisitions and Strategy of Prospector Investments Ltd.; Managing Director of JG Summit Capital Services, Inc.; Executive Director, SE Asia Private Equity Head of AIG Investment Corporation; and Vice President of AIA Capital Corporation.

He was a former Deputy Administrator of the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority. He also served in the board of various companies including eTelecare Global Solutions Inc.; SPI Technologies, Inc.; Rustan Supercenters, Inc.; Eng Teknologi Holdings Bhd; WTK Holdings Bhd.; and Millennium Microtech Holdings Corp.; among others. His consulting engagements include stints with Lombard Investments, Energy Logics Group, and Prospector Investments and Citadel Holdings.

A member of the Management Association of the Philippines and the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines, Reyes is a published writer and obtained both his Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management, and Master of Science in Industrial Engineering, from Stanford University in the U.S.

Director Jeannie Ng Sandoval served as vice mayor of Malabon City from 2013 to 2019. As vice mayor, her advocacies included primary health care, education, entrepreneurial programs, and other essential social services, along with women empowerment, family and children’s welfare. She was a former President of Genesis Industrial Gases Corporation and Watercraft Venture Corporation, and is presently Chairperson of the Philippine Red Cross – Malabon City Chapter.

In recognition of her achievements as President of Soroptimist International of Malabon from 2008 to 2016, she was invited to speak at the 56th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the UN Headquarters in New York, and was awarded Most Outstanding Club President in the Soroptimist International Philippine Region Conference 2010-2011 and 2011-2012. Soroptimist International of Malabon was also named Most Outstanding Club for the same years. Married to former Rep. Federico S. Sandoval II, she earned her Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from the De La Salle University.
