TARLAC CITY — The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recognized a total of nine Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) in Tarlac who are among the top performing in the country.
Mark Catacutan of the Program Beneficiaries Development Division disclosed that Sapang Multipurpose Cooperative of Moncada ranked third and Maunlad La Paz Multipurpose Cooperative fifth out of 5,228 DAR-assisted ARBOs.
“Also making the list are Pagbiagan Multipurpose Cooperative of San Manuel-14th, Bacabac Farmers Producers Cooperative of Camiling- 17th, Pindangan 2nd Primary Multipurpose Cooperative of Camiling-36th, Tinang Samahang Nayon Multipurpose Cooperative Incorporated of Concepcion-38th, Hardinero Agriculture Cooperative of Sta. Ignacia-41st, San Manuel Tarlac Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative-82nd and Lawin Farmers Credit Cooperative of Moncada-84th,” Catacutan added.
“Ranking for the top performing ARBOs was based on the results of 2018 Information Technology-Enabled Maturity Assessment (ITEMA),” Catacutan explained.
Also recognized were ARBOs who have reached maturity level of 5 based on 2018 ITEMA namely Sapang Multipurpose Cooperative, Binhi ni Abraham Producers Cooperative, Abagon Compact Farm and Seed Growers Multipurpose Cooperative, San Sotero PMPC and The Tillers Multipurpose Cooperative.
