CABANATUAN CITY (PIA) — Department of Agriculture (DA) provided about 102 farmers in Aliaga, Nueva Ecija easier access to assistance with the pilot launch of the Intervention Monitoring Card (IMC).
The municipality implemented the use of IMC in claiming fertilizer subsidies.
National Rice Program Director U-Nichols Manalo said the IMC program aims to modernize and digitize the processes and activities of the agency.
“It must only be used at the right time and process based on our guidance and instructions,” he pressed.
IMC will serve as an e-wallet for farmers to government interventions including distribution of fertilizers and financial aid.
DA partnered with the Development Bank of the Philippines and Universal Storefront Services Corporation in the roll-out of the program. (CLJD/CCN-PIA 3)
