The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of the City of San Fernando, Pampanga convened on Thursday and vowed to continue its plans against the further spread of COVID-19.
The council renewed its commitment to keep its pro-active stance to create a safer, more adaptive, and more resilient city.
The meeting tackled projects and programs of the different task forces with an aim to obtain recovery and stability particularly on health, social, psychological, and economic aspects.
The council also underscored its plan to expand the COVID-19 isolation facility and also the arrangement with Barangay officials for the identification and establishment of their own isolation facilities as preparation for the “worst-case scenario” of sudden spike in COVID-19 positive cases.
For his part, CDRRMC chairperson Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago committed to remain steadfast and courageous in facing the crisis brought by the pandemic in order to ensure the safety, security, and well-being of the Fernandinos.
