CITY OF SAN FERNANDO –To ramp-up its Covid-19 vaccination rollout, the city health office on Wednesday started to vaccinate in villages, with Barangay Sindalan as the pioneer community.
A total of 467 Fernandinos in the said barangay received their first dose of anti-Covid 19 vaccines. Walk-ins were still not allowed and barangay residents were advised to pre-register and wait for their schedule.
CHO is eyeing to set-up vaccination sites in other barangays but will first assess and determine if the strategy will be beneficial to Fernandinos.
“This move is part of our re-strategizing.
The CHO, headed by Dr. Carlos Mercado, will meet to make the assessment.
San Fernando has five permanent vaccination sites that regularly roll out anti-Covid-19 vaccines.
CSF also started vaccinating the A5 priority group or the indigent population on Aug. 26, 2021, and is planning to conduct house-to-house vaccination for bedridden Fernandinos.
