(HARANA 2019. Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago joins the fun celebration during the “Harana 2019: Tribute to Empowered Fernandinos” as he personally greets, and gives flowers and tokens to the employees on February 13, 2019.)

Fun, love, and excitement filled the Local Government Unit’s tribute concert for its employees on February 13, 2019.

Dubbed “Harana 2019: Tribute to Empowered Fernandinos” the activity was part of the Kaganapan 2019 celebration.

Mayor Edwin “EdSa” Santiago personally greeted and handed flowers and tokens to the employees and attached agencies.

In his opening remarks, Kaganapan 2019 Chairperson Engr. Ferdinand Caylao said the activity seeks to “recognize the dedication, hardwork, and perseverance of the employees in the public service which leads to the success of the capital city.”

The employees enjoyed the celebration where they were serenaded by groups “Chocolate Factory”, “City Band,” and “4Peace Band.”

During his speech, Santiago lauded the efforts of the employees and expressed his gratitude to them for always supporting the city’s programs towards development and better public service.

“Araw niyo ngayon upang mag-relax at magpahinga muna. Pero ako’y personal na nagpapasalamat sa inyong hindi matatawaran na dedikasyon sa pagsilbi sa ating bayan. Isa kayo sa mga dahilan kung bakit magpahanggang ngayon, ang Syudad San Fernando ay namamayagpag hindi lamang dito sa ating bansa kundi maging sa ibang lugar,” he said.

Joining the celebration were Vice Mayor Jimmy Lazatin, City Councilors Harvey Quiwa, Reden Halili, Tino Dizon, Nelson Lingat, Brgy. Captain Tina Lagman (Saguin), Brgy. Captain Ariel Carreon (San Felipe), and former third district board member Raul Macalino.
