ANGELES CITY – Covid-19 cases in the city continue to drop as the city health office noted that no close contacts were tested at the City College of Angeles swabbing center, citing the intensified vaccination drive of Mayor Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr.

Isikiel Kim, one of the health workers at the swabbing center, shared a photo on his Facebook wall showing no queue of Angeleños for swabbing.

On Nov. 3, the city government noted no new active case of COVID-19, with cases dropping to single digit since October.

“First time in almost two years, ZERO swab ya pu ing Angeles kareng Community ngening aldong ayni,” Kim wrote on his Facebook post. “First time in almost two years na akit me ing swabbing area king CCA na malinis alang tau.”

According to Kim, for the last two weeks, the average daily swabbing was about 20 per day. But for this week, it has lessened to half, or an average of 10 per day.

“May mga araw po na 4-7 na Angeleños lang po ang nasa-swab namin,” Kim shared. In fact, this is far from our situation then, Kim said, with the highest being 161 swabs in a day.

Kim, together with the health workers serving as swabbers in the CCA, thanked Mayor Lazatin, chief adviser IC Calaguas, Executive Assistant IV Reina Manuel, and the vaccination team for the extensive vaccination drive.

“Salamat pu king alang tuknang a pamag-vaccine kareng memalen tamu pu keti Angeles,” Kim said.
