IBA, Zambales – The provincial health office here announced that another patient was confirmed positive of Covid-19 Friday, only a day after Zambales was declared zero of Covid-19 cases for the third time.
This brought to 26 the number of confirmed cases in the province.
The patient is a 49-year-old male from San Narciso town who had travelled to Bulacan and Manila last June 11 for medical consultation as he suffered from type-2 diabetes mellitus and kidney stones.
Specimen were taken from him at St. Luke’s Medical Center last June 15 and the results sent to the PHO on Friday showed him positive for Covid-19.
He is currently admitted at the President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital.
Meanwhile, a 36–year–old male from Sta. Cruz who was the latest case of recovery was sent home last June 18 after he tested negative of Covid-19 in resultsreleased on June 14.
Olongapo City remains zero of new Covid-19 cases as of June 19.
The city health office although recorded 20 suspect cases and 14 pending test results.
