MARIVELES, Bataan — The provincial government on Thursday announced the opening of the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF) of the Mariveles District Hospital at the Freeport Area of Bataan here.
Gov. Albert Garcia said the TTMF has a 76-bed capacity and located at the Standard Factory Building 13 hangar at the freeport area in Mariveles.
It will cater to asymptomatic and mild cases of the coronavirus disease.
The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan, Philippine Red Cross, Department of Health, provincial government, and office of the second congressional district of Bataan signed the memorandum of agreement to fully support the operation of the facility.
The signatories were Governor Garcia, 2nd District Rep. Jose Enrique Garcia III, DOH Central Luzon director Dr. Corazon Flores, Bataan DOH officer Dr. Francisco Hermoso, AFAB administrator Emmanuel Pineda, Red Cross Bataan chapter administrator Charlie Gatbonton, and Mariveles District Hospital chief Dr. Hector Santos.
The Philippine Red Cross provided the facility equipment like hospital beds, tent, oxygen tanks, among some others.
