IBA, Zambales — Four new positive cases of Covid-19 were reported today, May 15, the provincial health office, raising the total here to 20.
Reports said that the four are one female from San Antonio, one female from Botolan, and two males from Subic.
Subic Mayor Jon Khonghun reported that one of the patients, a 45–year–old has asthma and is from Barangay Camachile while the other, a 34–year–old from Barangay San Isidro, was asymptomatic. Rapid antibody tests were conducted on both last April 28.
In Botolan, Mayor Doris Maniquiz reported the a 62–year–old female patient is from Barangay Binuclotan.
Maniquiz said that the patient arrived in the Philippines last October 2019 and since then, had no travel history except in Botolan and Iba.
Reports added that the victim went to a private hospital in Iba last April 27, for a travel clearance wherein she underwent a rapid diagnostic test and was found to be “reactive to IgM” and was immediately brought to the President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital and was admitted. Swab sample were taken for Covid confirmatory test last April 28.
San Antonio Mayor Presciliano Ruiz has not yet issuedany statement regarding the female positive patient who is a resident of the said town which the Zambales PHO said will issue later.
