OLONGAPO CITY – Confirmed Covid-19 cases here have surpassed that of Zambales province with two more added on Friday raising the total to nine.
Zambales has on record seven positive cases, two recoveries, and one death.
Mayor Rolen Paulino, Jr., city Covid-19 task force head, said the two new cases are a 48–year-old Filipino female resident of the city now in stable condition and isolated in a hospital in the Bataan; and a 61–year-old Filipino female, also of this city and in stable condition.
Paulino said the tracing of the persons who came in close contact with the patients has been undertaken the City Health Office. While no one has shown any symptoms, all were required to undergo the necessary 14-day home quarantine.
The mayor assured his constituents that the city task force, along with all the 17 barangays, continue to implement all precautionary measures to fight Covid-19.
