CABANATUAN CITY –– A 45-year-old mainline supervisor at a government mass transport system in Metro Manila and a 49-year-old female vendor from this city raised to 90 the number of people confirmed to be infected by coronavirus disease in Nueva Ecija on Friday July 10.
Report from the Department of Health and the local inter-agency task force said the Metro Rail Transit supervisor, a resident of Aliaga,Nueva Ecija went home on July 1 and is now under strict home quarantine. He is listed as Patient 89.
Patient 90, the vendor, on the other hand is presently admitted at the MV Gallego- Cabanatuan City Hospital, the NE–IATF said
Of 90 confirmed cases, 68 have recovered and four have died.
The NE–IATF, headed by Gov. Aurelio Umali, reminded the public to strictly observe health protocols.
As this developed, the city information and tourism office warned of the possibility that some cases here were locally transmitted.
“Nais rin pong ipaalam sa lahat na posibleng mayroon n po tayong local transmission sa ating lungsod,” the CITO said, echoing report from the city health office that the number of cases continues to increase.
“Muli pong pinapaalala sa lahat na patuloy pa rin po tayong sumunod sa minimum public health standards,” it added.
From staying at 21 for quite sometime, the numbers of infected individuals in the list here is now 27.
