CABANATUAN CITY – A 78-year–old man who had “history of travel” to the Philippine Heart Center and a Quezon City-based engineer, both of San Antonio Nueva Ecija, are the 66th and 67th confirmed coronavirus cases in the province, the provincial inter-agency task force reported on Tuesday.
Patient 66 who is now admitted at the very hospital where he went for his dialysis treatment, said the NE–IATF.
The 55-year-old male engineer, on the other hand, temporarily resides in Barangay Pag-asa, Quezon City. He was believed to have been exposed to a co-worker in the mass transport sector who earlier tested positive of Covid-19.
A backtracking showed the engineer stayed in Nueva Ecija from March 16 to May 31 and returned to Quezon City on June 1.
He is currently in a quarantine facility in Quezon City, according to NEIATF.
Of the 67 recorded confirmed cases in Nueva Ecija, 59 have fully recovered and three have died. All the five active cases are currently outside the province.
