CABANATUAN CITY – The confirmed cases of coronavirus disease in Nueva Ecija jumped to 81 as five new infections were reported by the Nueva Ecija inter-agency task force Sunday.
A piece of good news however came as Patient 72, the 32-year-old man from Poblacion Norte, Rizal town tested negative in the second swabbing, saId the NE–IATF.
One of the new cases is a 44-year–old male resident of Barangay Mataas na Kahoy, Gen. Natividad who is working and currently residing in Manila. Tagged as Patient 77, the patient is admitted at Manila Doctors Hospital, the task force reported.
Patient 78 is a 70-year-old man of Barangay Maestrang Kikay, while Patient 79 is 23-year-old woman of Barangay Matias, both in Talavera town. They were reportedly exposed to Patient 76, the heart patient who died of Covid-19 last July 2. Both asymptomatic, the two are both in strict home quarantine, the report said.
A 31-year-old female government employee from Barangay Caanawan, San Jose City is Patient 80. She is now admitted at Good Samaritan Medical Center in Cabanatuan City.
Patient 81, on the other hand, is a 32-year-old resident of Barangay Bakod Bayan, this city who was employed at the Bureau of Fire Protection in Quezon City. He is asymptomatic, according to NE–IATF report.
Of the 81 confirmed cases in Nueva Ecija, 65 have recovered, four have died and 12 are active.
