CABANATUAN CITY — Four newly reported infections have raised to 59 the confirmed coronavirus disease cases in Nueva Ecija, according to the provincial inter-agency task force.
Three of the patients were residents of Pantabangan town working in Metro Manila while the fourth is an architect employed at Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, the NE-IATF reported.
They were all asymptomatic, the report said.
The 25-year-old architect who was named Patient 59 who stayed in their residence in Zaragoza from March 12 to June 2 tested positive in a swab test that was conducted as requirement for resumption of work. The result was released on June 7, the NEI–ATF added.
The local government of Zaragoza has been informed of the result for contact tracing.
Patient 56, 31 years old; Patient 57, 49 years old; and Patient 58, 48 years old, were all employed at MWSS in Quezon City who tested positive on June 6.
They all stayed in Pantabangan from March 12 untilthey were called to duty on May 21, according to reports.
They are now quarantined in different facilities.
