CABANATUAN CITY — At least 304 of the 414 recorded patients under investigation in Nueva Ecija since the start of the enhanced community quarantine have tested negative, according to the provincial inter-agency tasked force.
Task force spokesperson Fr. Arnold Abelardo said they are still waiting for the results of 74 PUIs while 202 have yet to undergo testing as of Friday.
The confirmed Covid-19 cases remain at 41, no positive case has been recorded in the last two days.
“Thanks be to God, for two days, no positive Covid-19 patient was recorded,” Abelardo said. “Salamat sa Diyos, sana nga ay manatili sa mga bahay ang mga tao para manatili ang kaayusan.“
Death of positive Covid-19 patients remain at 2, and PUIs at 22 the record also showed.
In Santa Rosa, Nueva Ecija, Mayor Josefino Angeles treated residents of Purok 6, Barangay Tramo with two roasted pigs as a 14-day lockdown imposed in the place lapsed with no additional positive case, according to municipal administrator Ruben Esquejo.
Former Mayor Marita Angeles took time to prepare the sauce out of her thankfulness for the development, Esquejo said.
“Mayroon pong isang nag-positive sa Purok 6 at ang 57 pamilya ay hindi pinalabas ng 14 days batay sa DOH protocol. Dahil walang nag-positive sa taga-Purok 6, Tramo natuwa si Mayor Otep Angeles at naisipan magpa-lechon,” said the LGU in its social media page.
It stressed that the cooperation of residents might have help contained the virus.
“Maraming salamat po sa taga-Purok 6 na nagbigay ng kanilang kooperasyon at sa barangay officials, sa pamumuno ni chairman Boyet Germino, na inalagaan ang mga taga-purok 6 katuwang ang LGU Santa Rosa,provincial government ng Nueva Ecija at iba pang pribadong indibidwal,” it added.
The meat was distributed to families.
