CABANATUAN CITY – Four senior citizens and two 6-year–old girls were among the 12 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease here, a report from the city health office showed.
This raised the total confirmed cases to 306, of which 43 were active, 256 have recovered, and seven have died as of Oct. 7.
The senior citizens in the latest list were all women: an 85-year-old from Barangay Mabini Ext., a 63-year-old from Mabini Homesite, a 64-year-old from Barangay San Juan Accfa, and a 62-year-old from DS Garcia.
The 6-year-old girls, on the other hand, were from Barangays Mayapyap Sur and Mabini Homesite, said the city information and tourism office.
The other confirmed cases include a 51-year-old female government employee from San Juan Accfa, a 21-year-old female health care worker from Valle Cruz, a 54-year-old male construction worker from Mabini Homesite, a 38-year-old man from Mabini Homesite, a 21-year-old male employee from Mabini Homesite, and a 54-year-old unemployed man from Barangay DS Garcia.
Some of the new cases were asymptomatic while others were not, the report also showed.
The city government led by Mayor Myca Elizabeth Vergara renewed its call to the public to continue to observe minimum health standards as the country battles the pandemic.
