CABANATUAN CITY – Active cases of the coronavirus disease went down from 52 to 47 in two days, said the city health office.
This, despite the increase in confirmed COVID-19 cases here which totaled 339 as of Oct. 14, from 331 on Oct. 12.
The number of fatalities has remained at seven.
A report from the city information and tourism office also showed that all the six new Covid-19 cases logged by the CHO had not travelled from their localities.
These included a 31-year-old female health care worker from Mayapyap Sur, a 49-year-old woman from Barangay Lourdes, a 25-year-old male employee from Barangay Imelda, and a 33-year-old male employee from Barangay Aduas Centro.
Among the youngest cases in the list were a 4-year-old boy who suffered from cough and colds fand a 10-year-old asymptomatic girl, both from Barangay Aduas Centro.
Meanwhile, the city government reminded the public that per inter-agency task force Resolution No. 72-2020, and Sangguniang Panlungsod Resolution No. 319-2020, all cemeteries, memorial parks and columbaries in the city will be closed from Oct. 29 to Nov. 4, 2020.
“Ang hakbang na ito ay upang maiwasan ang malawakang pagdagsa ng mga tao na maging sanhi ngposibleng pagkalat ng Covid-19 sa ating lungsod,” it explained.
Interment and cremation will be allowed during the said period, it added.
