CABANATUAN CITY — Seventeen of the 18 positive Covid-19 cases in this prime city have fully recovered, leaving the number recuperating patient to only one as of Friday, according to the city information and tourism office (CITO).
The CITO report showed no Covid positive has died as of May 15, the last day of the enhanced community quarantine.
Nueva Ecija is now under modified enhanced community quarantine starting May 16 until May 31per Resolution No. 37 of the national Inter-Agency Task Force for Emerging Infectious Diseases.
Data showed that this city has 308 suspected cases of which 265 have finished home quarantine, 19 are currently under home quarantine, three were discharged, and 21 have died.
Of the 35 probable cases, seven have died, 20 have finished home quarantine, six are under home quarantine, one is admitted and one was discharged, data from the CITO further showed.
Persons under monitoring here as of Friday were 2,958. Of the figure, 2,867 were done with 14-day home quarantine while 91 were under 14-day homequarantine, it added.
Meanwhile, Mayor Myca Elizabeth Vergara said the city government is on its way to conducting targeted mass testing as an effort against the spread of the dreaded disease.
“Sa bawat pamilya ay pipili tayo,” Vergara said, adding that the city government has been doing rapid testing initially for frontliners.
