BALANGA CITY — In just a day, the number of cases of confirmed coronavirus disease in this province jumped from 84 Thursday night to 88 Friday night.
Gov. Albert Garcia said as of the 6 p.m. report of the Provincial Health Office, four more health workers tested positive of the virus.
On Thursday, two health workers from Mariveles town were likewise added to the list of confirmed Covid–19 cases.
The new confirmed cases are of a 31-year–old female from Orion, a 48-year–old female from Balanga City, a 39-year–old male, also from Balanga and a 23-year–old female from Abucay, all health workers of the Bataan General Hospital and Medical Center this city.
BGHMC was turned into an exclusive facility for Covid patients beginning April 17 after 55 of its health workers were found infected with the virus.
The number of those who underwent laboratory exam for the virus rose to 2,095 after 90 were added to the new list. Out of those tested, 61 were the latest found negative, turning the total number of those not infected with Covid–19 to 1,151.
Waiting for result of their test were 856 persons. The number of those who recovered remained at 18 and deaths at four.
