BALANGA CITY — Gov. Albert Garcia announced Friday that as of Thursday night four just recovered from the coronavirus disease raising the number of recoveries in Bataan to 92.
He said that among the newly-recovered are three health workers, and that for the last two weeks many have been cured of the dreaded illness.
Per latest report of the provincial health office, Bataan has 146 confirmed Covid–19 cases and seven deaths.
Among the new recoveries are a 41-year–old woman from Dinalupihan, a 28-year-old man from Balanga City, and a 34-year–old man from Orani – all health workers, and a 19-year–old man from Samal.
There are a total of 2,465 who have undergone laboratory examination for the virus. Out of this number, 406 are waiting for the result while 1,913, including 40 new ones, tested negative.
Meanwhile, Mayor Aida Macalinao announced the good news to her constituents that all nine confirmed Covid–19 cases in Samal have recovered and the town is now Covid–free.
“Sa Diyos ang lahat ng papuri at pasasalamat at sana sa tulungan ng lahat tuluyan nang lumayo ang mapanganib na virus na ito,” the mayor said.
