BALANGA CITY — A 2- year–old girl and 17 health workers were added to the list of new recoveries from the coronavirus disease in Bataan, Gov. Albert Garcia announced Wednesday.
The governor said that based on the report of the provincial health office Tuesday night, the number of those who recovered from the virus jumped to 79.
The 2-year–old girl is from Dinalupihan, while the health workers are eight from Balanga City, two from Orani, two from Pilar, two from Orion, and one each from Limay, Samal, and Hermosa.
Garcia said the new report showed that more health workers are recovering. Last Monday, five were among six who recovered, he said.
The number of confirmed Covid-19 cases remained at 131 while those who died at six.
The governor said 2,385 have been tested for the virus out of whom 422 are waiting for the lab result while 1,832 were found negative, including 53 on Tuesday.
