BALANGA CITY — The Provincial Health Office on Wednesday night reported that 117 persons were the latest addition to the list of those who tested negative of the coronavirus disease, bringing to 1,016 the total number found not infected by the virus in Bataan.
Gov. Albert Garcia said 125 persons were subjected to the latest test that brought to 1,955 the total number that have undergone laboratory examination. With the 1,016 tested negative, 857 are still waiting for the result, he said.
The governor reported that the number of confirmed Covid–19 cases in the province has remained at 82 since Sunday. Of this number, 15 have recovered whilefour died.
Those who recovered were still completing 14 days of post-discharge quarantine in facilities designated by the Department of Health and afterwards to be tested again if already negative of the virus before their final release.
For the sixth straight day to Saturday, the number of confirmed Covid cases in Bataan stayed at 81 until a male patient from Mariveles was added to the list on Sunday.
Garcia continued to remind residents in 11 towns and one city to be patient and to stay at home with the extension of the enhanced community quarantine until May 15.
