BALANGA CITY — One more died of the coronavirus disease, bringing to three the number of deaths caused by the dreaded disease while a month–old boy was among the 22 found positive of the virus in Bataan.
The provincial interagency task force on Covid–19 reported Sunday that the newest fatality in Bataan was a 55-year–old man from Orani. The victim, diagnosed with brain herniation, died Thursday but laboratory result known only Sunday showed he was infected with the virus.
IATF chair Gov. Albert Garcia said the baby from Mariveles was among the three newest patients confirmed positive of Covid–19 in the province in addition to 19 cases as of Saturday.
The other two were a 28-year–old male from Mariveles and a 38-year–old man from Limay.
From the 22 cases, six have already recovered while three died, the governor said. Those who recovered were still undergoing 14 days of post admission quarantine.
As of IATF report at 10 a.m. Sunday, there were 3,575 persons under monitoring, 807 mild persons under investigation, and 124 moderate to severe PUI.
