BALANGA CITY — Gov. Albert Garcia on Thursday reported that Bataan has listed Wednesday record-high 415 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus disease, 332 new recoveries, and 18 additional fatalities.
The number of those who tested positive of Covid–19 rose to 22,270 with 4,077 active cases, those who recovered to 17,402, and those who died to 791.
The mountain town of Morong has now the most number of new confirmed cases at 107, then Dinalupihan – 89, Orion – 37, Balanga City – 36, Hermosa – 35, Limay – 34, Abucay – 22, Pilar – 17, Samal – 14, Mariveles – 13, Orani – 10, and Bagac – 1.
Mariveles is leading in the number of new recoveries with 148, followed by Balanga City (36), Hermosa (26), Limay (26), Dinalupihan (19), Samal (18), Orion (12), Bagac (11), Orani (11), Pilar (11), Abucay (8), and Morong (6).
The new fatalities were from Dinalupihan – 5, Abucay – 4, Orani – 3, Balanga City – 2, Hermosa – 1, Samal – 1, Limay – 1, and Orion – 1.
Anti-Covid–19 vaccine doses administered reached 379,341 with 242,667 individuals receiving the first dose and 136,674 fully vaccinated.
The governor said vaccination was going on in 26 inoculation centers, including the vax on wheels.
