OLONGAPO CITY – Members of the Highway Patrol Group 3-Zambales (HPG-3) recovered at least three luxury vehicles during simultaneous operations on stolen vehicles here recently.
HPG-3 Zambales Chief Insp. Noel Nuñez said a Toyota Vios (XKD-500) registered to Jeanfer Quickie Salas, resident of 125-B Lerma Extension Poblacion, Mandaluyong City was recovered in Balanga City under the possession of Cecile Cabiades who lives here.
Investigation disclosed that the car was sold to a certain Rosana Palaypay, owner of Golden Crest Lending Investor in Balanga City by a certain Alexander Gonzales (alias “Boy”) worth P260,000.
Another abandoned Toyota Vios (REV-886) owned by Vista Rent A Car was also recovered by HPG-3 and Angeles City police at Purok 6, Barangay Amsic in Angeles City.
Police said the vehicle was rented by a certain Bernard Edusada for one month from Oct. 29 to Nov. 29, 2009, but failed to return it for still unknown reason.
Another vehicle, a Mitsubishi Pajero Wagon (YCW-901) driven by Jason Lacbain of Burgos St. Barangay Wawandue, Subic, Zambales was recovered while parked along Rizal Avenue in this city.
Verification made by HPG-3 at Land Transportation Office revealed that said vehicle has no Motor Vehicle Transaction record. The documents presented by Lacbain are allegedly spurious.
