ABUCAY, Bataan — The Philippine National Police in Bataan reported the arrest of two drug peddlers and the confiscation of shabu with standard drug price of P469,200 and a .38 revolver with four live ammunitions in a buy-bust operation n Barangay Mabatang here Wednesday.
Bataan OIC police director Col. Marites Salvadora said operatives of the intelligence unit of the Bataan Police Provincial Office and the Abucay PNP conducted the operation.
Confiscated from the suspects were approximately 69 grams of shabu and the loose firearm.
The suspects face charges for violations of RA 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002), RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act), and violation of the Omnibus Election Code.
“The primary objective of this intensified campaign is to eliminate the presence of illegal drugs and loose firearms in the province of Bataan, thereby reducing drug-related crimes and armed violence,” Salvadora said.
