DINALUPIHAN, Bataan – Lawmen are in the hunt for a police officer who allegedly wounded two men when he fired his service firearm in the middle of a heated argument at a wake in Barangay Roosevelt, Dinalupihan Tuesday evening, the Bataan Police Provincial Office reported Wednesday.
Senior Supt. Manuel Gaerlan, Bataan police director, said the Dinalupihan police had launched a manhunt even as criminal charges are being prepared against Police Officer 2 Mark Ryan Disesto of Camp Olivas in the City of San Fernando, Pampanga.
Wounded during the shooting were businessman Christian Alain Domingo, 28 and Noel Sason, 45, both of Barangay Bonifacio, Dinalupihan. The two were brought to the James Gordon Memorial Hospital in Olongapo City. Domingo sustained a gunshot wound in the right leg while Sason was hit in the stomach.
Insp. Tara Young, police information officer, said reports showed that suspect was playing "Lucky 9" with others in a wake when a heated argument ensued with another player that resulted to a fistfight at about 10 in the evening.
The police officer then pulled out his gun and fired several times hitting the two victims.
