ANGELES CITY- An American who was convicted for child pornography and illegal possession of firearms in Florida state has been arrested here by agents of the Bureau of Immigration (BI).
In a report, the BI identified the US national as Samuel Arthur Thompson, 49, who fl ed the US and established residence in a subdivision here amid an arrest warrant issued against him by a Florida court for “unauthorized cyber access and intrusion, as well as possession of child pornography and firearm.”
Thompson fled to Manila last July 29 and was placed in the wanted list of the Interpol, even as his passport was revoked by the US government.
In 1998, he was also convicted and sentenced to one year imprisonment for sexually abusing a 15-year-old boy.
Thompson, who is currently detained in Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City, will be deported for being an undesirable and undocumented alien.
The BI said Thompson is now in its blacklist and will be banned from re-entering the country.
