PAMPANGA — All public elementary and high schools in Mabalacat City and Magalang Town received cakes from Cong Carmelo “Pogi” Lazatin, Jr., as personal gifts from Cong Pogi in celebration of National Teachers’ Day on October 5, 2024.
Two cakes each were given to 62 public elementary and high schools in Mabalacat City and 34 public elementary and high schools in Magalang.
These are personal gifts from Cong Pogi to show his appreciation for the hard work and sacrifice of teachers.
“Maliit po na bagay ang mga cake kung itutumbas sa hirap at sakripisyo ng ating mga guro,” Lazatin said, “Pero sana sa pamamagitan ng munting regalo na ito ay naipakita natin ang ating pagpapasalamat at pagkilala sa ating mga guro.”
Leading the distribution are long-time Lazatin aides Irish Llego for Mabalacat City, and Michael Lising and Von Ryan Sugui for Magalang Town.
Earlier, Cong Pogi also led the distribution of his personal donations of schools supplies to 3,063 day care students in Mabalacat City and 1,777 day care students in Magalang Town.
Each day care student received a tote bag with a set of school supplies, including crayons, notebooks, pencil, eraser, sharpener, and writing pad.
Cong Pogi also gave five kilos of rice to the parents of each day care student.
On October 1, 2024, Cong Pogi officially filed his candidacy as Representative of the First District of Pampanga, which includes the cities of Angeles and Mabalacat, and the municipality of Magalang.
Cong Pogi’s legislative agenda, highlights seven main areas: Health; Economy and Livelihood; Vulnerable and Marginalized Sectors (Children, Youth, Women, Senior Citizens, Persons with Disability (PWDs), Solo Parents, and LGBTQ); Environment; Education; Transportation; and Barangays.
According to Lazatin, his legislative agenda shall follow a basic tenet – ‘ALANG MALAKWAN’ – focusing on delivering public services to all sectors from all walks of life.
“Isa lang po ang sineseguro natin. Sa ating panunungkulan, wala pong maiiwan. No one will be left behind,” Lazatin said, “Ito po ang aking bibitawang pangako — ang lahat ng sektor ng ating lipunan ay mararamdaman ang ating sinserong paninilbihan.
