BACOLOR, Pampanga — At least 280 residents here received financial aid Monday from the joint efforts of the Department of Social Welfare and Development and the 3rd District Congressional Office.
Under the Assistance for Individuals in Crisis Situation program of the DSWD, each of the beneficiaries received some P3,000 to P5,000 in assistance.
Pampanga 3rd District Rep. Aurelio “Dong” Gonzales Jr., in his brief remarks during the aid distribution, said the indigent sector has felt the greatest impact of the pandemic particularly on their livelihoods, hence, the government finding ways to alleviate their condition.He thanked President Duterte for his concern to the people.
The financial distribution was held at the Bacolor Gym and attended by town officials led by Mayor Diman Datu, as well as Gonzales’s chief of staff Mica Gonzales and Engr. Aurelio Brenz Gonzales.
