MANILA, Philippines – Leading consumer lifestyle and enterprise solutions provider Concepcion Industrial Corporation (CIC) concluded a successful run at the 2024 Hotel & Foodservice Suppliers Show, showcasing innovative technologies designed to elevate the hospitality and tourism experience. The premier platform for professionals to discover new products and trends shaping the industry, the Hotel and Foodservice Suppliers Show took place from September 19 to 21 at the SMX Convention Center this year.

As a key participant, CIC connected with industry professionals from hotels, restaurants, and leisure establishments, reinforcing its commitment to providing the Philippine hospitality and tourism sectors with top-tier products, services, and technologies. Attendees engaged with pioneering developments that are driving the future of the industry.

CIC also shared its expertise through insightful presentations, speeches, and panel discussions. Merril Yu, CIC’s Chief Experience Officer, opened day two of the event with a speech on the 2025 Philippine Hospitality Outlook, emphasizing the importance of anticipating future trends and the evolving needs of travelers. Yu also shared his insights on the evolving landscape of guest experience as part of a panel discussion.

“All our businesses are looking at what’s next. This event is an opportunity to give you different points of view, and more importantly, think, ‘What should I consider for me, my business, and what’s next?’” Yu shared. His opening remarks resonated with attendees, prompting discussions about factors affecting the future of hospitality in the Philippines.

Phillip Trapaga, President of Concepcion-Carrier Air Conditioning Company, a subsidiary of CIC, presented on an “Insider’s Guidance to Winning Air Conditioning Management,” providing attendees with practical strategies to optimize HVAC systems for enhanced guest comfort, consumer preferences, and energy efficiency.

“Consumers are changing. Now, they start asking questions such as, ‘Can you make the air conditioner blend into our home?’ You see a different kind of consumer emerging—they want slimmer designs, electronic controls, and of course, energy efficiency,” Trapaga said.

To meet these evolving demands, CIC and its subsidiaries are at the forefront of innovation. The CIC event booth highlighted a range of products designed to address the specific needs of the hospitality, foodservice, and tourism fields from several of the group’s leading brands: Carrier, Condura, and Shark Ninja.

As The Air Authority, Carrier shared HVAC solutions engineered for energy efficiency and reliability, including the Carrier Neo Inverter Split Type Air Conditioner and Aura Inverter Floor Mounted, both designed to maintain cool, comfortable environments for guests.

Condura, known for its durable, high-performing refrigeration systems, showcased the Negosyo Pro NF Chiller, perfect for storing chilled drinks, cakes, and even fruit; the Personal Refrigerator, ideal for mini bars; and the Negosyo Chest Freezer, essential for storing bulk quantities of frozen foods.

SharkNinja exhibited various small domestic appliances, including the best-selling Ninja CREAMi Ice Cream Maker, a versatile machine perfect for creating personalized frozen treats, alongside the Shark FlexStyle Full Package, an all-in-one hair styler designed to prevent hair damage, the CleanSense IQ+, Shark’s most intelligent vacuum cleaner that automatically adjusts its settings based on dirt levels and floor type, and even self-cleans. Additionally, the new Shark HydroVac Cordless Wet and Dry Vacuum Cleaner, that not only vacuums but also mops simultaneously for a thorough clean.
