IBA, Zambales — In an impressive display of skills and expertise, Comteq College emerged as the overall champion at the 2023 TESDA Provincial Skills Competition, held Nov. 28-30 here.
Comteq won nine gold medals across seven IT-related skill categories, solidifying its position as a leader in technical education and training. The categories included Graphic Design Technology, IT Network Cabling, Web Technologies, IT Network System Administration, Internet of Things, IT Software Solutions for Business, and Mobile Robotics.
Faced with stiff competition from a large number of talented participants, the Comteq team managed a sweep of the events with their dedication, hard work, and technical prowess.
“Our students’ success is a testament to the quality of education and training we provide. We are incredibly proud of their hard work and dedication, which have rightly placed them at the forefront of technical skills excellence,” said Prof. Danny Piano, Comteq president.
The victory, Piano noted, is “not just a feather in the cap for Comteq College but also serves as an inspiration to other educational institutions and students across the province and the country.”
“It emphasizes the significance of vocational skills development and the role of institutions like TESDA in shaping the future of young professionals,” he added.
The Comteq winners in the different categories were Jeikkov Yogawin, Graphic Design Technology; John Daniel De Leon, IT Network Cabling; Alessandra Nicole Cabrera, IT Network System Administration; Ralph Bryan Guiling, IT Software Solutions for Business; Jayvee Falaminiano and Elarne Manglicmot, Internet of Things; John Rheynald Limbag and Prince Kirby Toledo, Mobile Robotics; and Amiel Louis S. Gingco, Web Technologies.
Comteq College has been the overall champion of the Zambales competition since 2013. It has also won medals in the regional and national level TESDA skills competitions.
