SASMUAN, Pampanga —Five coastal villages of this municipality received food aid on Wednesday from the Provincial Government of Pampanga.
The food assistance was personally delivered by 2nd District board members Mylyn Pineda-Cayabyab and Fritzie David-Dizon accompanied by Guagua Vice Mayor Sajid Eusoof.
The officials visited the villages of Malusac, Sebitanan, Mabuanbuan, Batang 1st and Batang 2nd on board boats which also ferried goods and meat products.
Pineda-Cayabyab said that the provincial government, through the leadership of Gov. Dennis Pineda, is committed to serve the needs of coastal villages in Pampanga adding that geographic differences is never a burden in bringing services where it is needed.
“Every year, we personally visit these coastal village to check on these communities to know how they are doing. Since the pandemic, this would be the first time we would be visiting them again. We hope that the little assistance from the Capitol will be well received,” Pineda-Cayabyab said.
A total o 3, 228 food packs were given to the residents of the coastal villages during the visits.
Earlier, communities in the hinterlands of Porac and Floridablanca towns, including those indigenous peoples were also given food aid by the provincial officials. MPC-IG
