CLTV’s tower stands at 68.50 meters with asignal strength of 10,000 watts. The broadcast equipment were provided by the Italy-based DB Elettronica Telecommunications S.p.a., a world leader in design and new technologies in the radio and TV industry.
Laus Group of Companies (LGC) Chairman and CEO Liberato “Levy” P. Laus described the event as “a milestone in fulfillment of (CLTV-36’s) vision to become the premiere Luzon countryside broadcast channel.” Laus said viewers can now enjoy the wide selection of programs including news, current affairs, lifestyle and entertainment programs with a stronger and clearer signal.
The program started at 8 a.m. with a blessing of the tower officiated by Bishop Pablo Virgilio David. Part of the program was the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC), represented by President- CEO Emigdio “Dino” Tanjuatco III, for the promotion of the Clark International Airport. According to information released to the media, the construction of the transmitter building started last May while the different engineering hardware were delivered in October. Engr. Lucia Romanato of DB Elettronica supervised the installation of the TV broadcast instruments with the engineering personnel of CLTV36.
CLTV36 is the first and only independent television station in the region. It was established in 2007 with its mission to provide “hyperlocal news, current affairs program and entertainment content” in Central Luzon.
Laus said CLTV36 is especially indispensable to audiences during elections and disasters, keeping the people informed of events as they happen.
The station has also been awarded as The Best provincial TV Station in the Philippines at the KBP Golden Dove Awards three times.
