CLARK FREEPORT— Various hotels in this Freeport were recently recognized for their excellent accommodation services to guests and travelers here.
Tripadvisor, an American online travel company that operates a website and mobile app with user-generated content and a comparison shopping website, bestowed the “Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards” to six hotels located within this Freeport.
These hotels include Widus Hotel and Casino, Midori Hotel and Casino, The Mansion – Boutique Hotel, Park Inn by Radisson Clark, Clark Marriott Hotel, and Quest Hotel and Conference Center-Clark.
Meanwhile, Clark Development Corporation (CDC), through its Tourism Promotions Division, extended its warm felicitations to the awardees, and cited their contribution in making the Freeport one of the most preferred destinations across the country.
“A very hearty congratulations to our friends who won Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards. We are delighted to hear that our hotels in Clark continue to be the best and highest rated, even amidst this pandemic. Your Clark family is proud of your commitment to excellence and world-class service,” the state-owned corporation shared in its post.
Aside from shaping up the tourism industry in the zone, some hotels have also been active in hosting local and international delegates of various ‘bubble’ competitions held in this Freeport.
Quest Hotel and Conference Center – Clark has hosted the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) players last year, and now serves as the official home of the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup Qualifiers’ teams and Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas (SBP) officials.
Aside from Quest, Lohas Hotel is also one of the official accommodation partners of FIBA Asia Cup. Located within the bounds of the Redwood Villas, this hotel houses media personnel, utility partners, and ancillary staff attending the international competition.
Situated at a three-hectare property in this Freeport, Lohas Hotel offers 76 well-appointed hotel rooms and suites that are designed to provide a relaxing experience for guests.
It also features a huge pool, massage rooms, and “Jjimjilbang” – a Korean-style sauna with wood-fired hot Bulgama and charcoal detox where the guests can unwind and relax in between the FIBA games.
The hotel is owned by a Korean national whose family loves traditional Filipino food. Thus, it also serves authentic Filipino cuisine and classic Kapampangan dishes such as Pork Sisig and Tokwa’t Baboy – both signature dishes of the chef.
Rodeliza Hugo-Mercado, Sales Manager at Lohas Hotel, said that the staging of international games in the Freeport is a great opportunity for the tourism and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, Exhibits) sector here.
“It’s a great opportunity for the people in Pampanga. Foreign investors came and more International activities like this FIBA 2021 were conducted,” Mercado said.
With a total of 3,088 hotel rooms, 80 convention and meeting facilities, 16 sports facilities, 12 attraction sites, 98 dining spots, and 20 other tourism-related facilities, Clark boasts itself as one of the premiere business and tourism destinations in the Asia Pacific Region.
