“Through your commitment and cooperation, we can make our region a resilient and prepared community,” Office of Civil Defense (OCD) regional director and RDRRMC 3 chair Josefina Timoteo said.
Four barangays in Bulacan will serve as pilot areas for this NSED in Central Luzon as they are within the Valley Fault System, according the Philippine Information Agency (PIA).
These are San Isidro in City of San Jose Del Monte, San Mateo and San Lorenzo in Norzagaray, and Bayabas in Doña Remedios Trinindad.
Those who will be participating are encouraged to post photos and videos doing the duckcover-hold on social media and use the hashtag #Pagyanig.
“Drills and exercises like these can mark an impact to the community and would be one of our best practices. Remember, there is no other right time for being prepared than now,” Timoteo said.
“So what are you waiting for? Come and join us! Shout-out your commitment and let us do the duck-cover-hold technique on Wednesday,” she added.
