The Department of Tade and Industry Region 3 (DTI-3) ushered nine (9) participating Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC) in Thailand for the 2024 Propak Expo from June 12-15, 2024.
The international event, organized by Informa Markets showcased Asia’s latest advancements in food processing and packaging technology. It drew over 2,000 companies worldwide, provided a unique platform for these enterprises to explore advanced packaging solutions and forge connections with global suppliers of machinery and equipment for processing and packaging both food and non-food products.
Representing Central Luzon were two MSMEs from Bataan, five from Bulacan, and two from Pampanga. Their participation underscored the region’s commitment to innovation and excellence in the industrial sector. Notably, three of these MSMEs had the opportunity to display their products at the OTOP Philippines booth. The exhibitors included Mins Miraculous Mushroom, RPO Fine Foods Corporation, and Akita Herbal Products.
The theme for this year, “Empowering Sustainability Processing & Packaging Success with Ideation, Innovation, and Investment,” seeks to improve sustainable production and packaging methods through the integration of creative ideas, innovative practices, and strategic investments. The objective is to spark creativity that aligns with modern industry principles, emphasizing efficiency, sustainability, and technological progress.
“The processing and packaging of products play a significant role in establishing the brands of our MSMEs. They enhance the value of products, thereby earning the trust of customers both locally and globally,” DTI-3 OIC – Regional Director Brigida T. Pili said.
“The event provided an excellent opportunity for our MSMEs to enhance their processing and packaging methods, connect with suppliers, learn about sustainable solutions, and build networks that will help them compete in the international market,” she added.
The other participating MSMEs are Alion Kapit Bisig SEA K, Cley’s Food Products, Aling Ilah’s Sweet and Delicacies, Sweet Bulakenya Foods, Andrei House of Barong, and Tita Luds Food Products.
