CL Entreps explore packaging solutions in Thailand Expo

City of San Fernando, Pampanga – Twelve (12) Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) from Region 3 participated in the Propak Asia 2023 Expo in Thailand on June 14-17, 2023.

The international event, organized by Informa Markets showcased Asia’s latest advancements in food processing and packaging technology. It provides an opportunity for attendees to explore the latest advancements, network with industry professionals, and stay updated with the emerging trends in the processing and packaging sector. 

Now on its 30th year, Propak Asia highlights sustainability and the development of products that meet global market standards and encourages MSME’s commitment to responsible and eco-friendly practices. 

“The processing and packaging of products have a big role in building the brands of our MSMEs. They add value to products which also gains the trust from customers locally and internationally,” Department of Trade and Industry Region 3 (DTI-3) OIC – Regional Director Brigida T. Pili said.

Ushered by the DTI-3 in joining the event are 5 MSMEs from Pampanga, 4 from Tarlac, and 3 from the province of Bulacan. The participating MSMEs are TLM Yema Buko Pie, M Diaz Food Products, Jalapeños Texmex Cantina, Pacificom Food Products, RZJM Food Products, Apung Ota Food Products, Aiza’s Sweets, Agourmet Homemade Food Trading, Richver Woodcraft Manufacturing, Angel-Spice Mushroom Station, Aling Pining Inuyat, and Bale Mi Agri-Farm Corporation. The participants were joined by DTI-Tarlac Senior Trade-Industry Development Specialist Maria Divina Ramos. 

DTI-3 provided various assistance and support to the participating MSMEs in terms of trainings, product development and marketing. OIC-RD Pili encouraged them to interact with other participants and suppliers, and explore potential partnerships to level up their enterprises. 

“This is a great opportunity for our MSMEs not only to improve their processes and packaging but to connect with suppliers, gain knowledge on sustainable solutions, and build networks for them to be competitive in the international market,” OIC RD Pili added.
