PALAYAN CITY – The Christmas season officially unfolded in this capital city of Nueva Ecija s here with the opening of the city’s night market along with the launch of its Gabi ng Turismo on Sept. 12.
Mayor Vianne Cuevas who led the activities at the city park here said at least 80 food and non-food stalls were opened to cater to residents and visitors who have been patronizing their products in the market.
This is the fourth year of the night market that will last until the end of December, she said.
“Ini-invite po namin kayong lahat para makikain po, mag-enjoy po sa mga events po namin dito, yung mga shows na may konting pakulo,” the mayor said.
Also available in the area are rides for family adventures as well as the well-lit park.
“We are excited to have you and excited to see eveybody,” she told visitors from different places outside this city.
She assured that preparations for food sold in the market as well as the safety of people were closely checked by the concerned city officials.
The Gabi ng Turismo, on the other hand, marked the celebration for this city’s 60th founding anniversary.
