CHRC holds 2nd General Members Meeting 2018

The Clark Human Resources Council (CHRC) held its second General Membership Meeting (GMM) for the year 2018 last September 19, 2018 at the Estrellita Ballroom of Lewis Grand Hotel. More than one hundred HR executives, management representatives and team members have graced the event from companies within the Metro Clark region.

The General Membership Meeting is officially opened by Ms. Ana Christi Galura, CHRC President and Director of HR of Widus Hotel and Casino as she gave a look back on the previous activities of the council.

The main events are the learning sessions provided by Mr. Jose Roberto Navata, OIC of DOLE-Region III Clark with topics focusing on Industrial Peace. Mr. Navata emphasized the importance of compliance with laws and labor standards and employee welfare in maintaining industrial peace. The afternoon session is dominated by Ms. Louisa Mila Echevarria of People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP). Ms. Echevarria has shared that for management and millennials to have a more productive relationship at the workplace both must have an acceptance and appreciation of each other. The engagement was high as participants were eager to understand more about the topics discussed.

The event ended with a blast by giving away a round-trip ticket from Clark to Siargao by Philippine Airlines and tickets from Manila Ocean Park.

The Clark Human Resources Council is an organization of HR professionals and executives from the Clark Freeport Zone and the greater Clark area, including Angeles City and Mabalacat City. It aims to build networks of HR practitioners in the zone for knowledge and skills transfer and benchmarking that will improve HR services for employees and employers alike.
