CLARK FREEPORT — This freeport is now linked daily to Shanghai as China Eastern Airlines (China Eastern) launched Oct. 19 at the Clark International Airport here its inaugural flight between the two destinations.
The Clark International Airport Corp. (CIAC) said the inaugural flight was attended by simple rites at 1 a.m. before the aircraft to Shanghai flew at 3:40 a.m.
“Simple send-off ceremonies were held at the Clark airport passenger terminal. The program included a water cannon salute and brief remarks from CIAC president Alex Cauguiran and China Eastern Airlines marketing head Chen Li Wei,” said a statement from CIAC.
Apart from domestic flights, Clark also hosts regular flights to other Asian destinations.
