TALAVERA, Nueva Ecija – A 21-year-old motorcycle parts vendor has been locked in jail, slapped with criminal charges, for allegedly sexually molesting a Grade 9 student in Barangay Sampaloc of this municipality at around 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.
An investigation report said the 15-year-old girl was sleeping face down in her bedroom when awakened by the suspect, identified as Larry Rapal, a resident of the same village, allegedly touching her buttocks “caressing towards her inner thighs going to her private parts.”
The girl cried for help and shouted the name of the suspect who got startled and ran outside the house, police said.
He was arrested in a follow-up operation by operatives from the Police Community Precinct-2-Sampaloc.
Charges of acts of lasciviousness in relation to Republic Act 7610 were filed against the suspect, police said.
