CLARK FREEPORT – Chef Laudico’s Feast buffet restaurant located at the ground floor of BPO 1 Building at SM City Clark is now formally open.

On Sunday, Chefs Roland and Jacqui Laudico were on hand for the formal inauguration of the restaurant with business partners Karl and Darlene Reyes who are from Angeles City.

But why go all the way to Clark and Angeles City?

“Not just because we have business partners from here but because Pampanga in general is very much the capital of Filipino cuisine,” Chef Roland said.

“Alam naman natin na mga Kapampangan ang gagaling magluto nyan (We all know Kapampangans, they are very good cooks),” he said.

“Kapampangans are foodies,” he said. “If you go around here you will see so many restaurants that are super good,” he added. “Not just the native cuisines but any kind of restaurants that you see here.”

Chef Roland said he considers Clark as a destination place because of the Clark airport and “as soon as this developed the future of this area is very promising.”

But what makes Chef Laudico’s Feast different from other buffet restaurants?

“We are known for our traditional Filipino cuisines,” he said. “But we also do modern and contemporary style of Filipino food as well as international cuisines like Chinese, Korean and Japanese,” he added.

“With these, it’s not just a Filipino feast it’s now a global feast,” he pointed out.

Chef Roland said their menu offers a healthy option for food lovers and the casual diners because their cooking is done without using MSGs (mono sodium glutamate) or artificial and instant seasonings. “Everything is prepared traditionally using organic flavorings just like the time of our grandparents,” he said.

Chef Roland assured that they use only natural herbs and spices and never the branded ones.

“We are very lucky because this is the reason why we have very loyal guests that follow us everywhere we go. We are very blessed to have nice partners and also such wonderful supporters who love our food,” he added.

“We believe that food should be wholesome and natural and that’s what we serve here in Chef Laudico’s Feast,” he said.

For her part, Chef Jacqui expressed her gratitude to the guests among them members of the Chinese-Filipino community, bloggers and members of the local press.

Chef Jacqui said the occasion is a special one for her because since growing up she always had this goal of being happy with what you do and the money will follow. And now, she said, she is blessed to do what she loves which is cooking and serving people and at the same time making a living out of it.

A feat, which, she said, “is something very rare and is really a gift especially with a lot of people supporting us.”
