CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga (PIA) — The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) will soon open a new satellite office inside the Clark International Airport (CRK) to make its frontline services more accessible to permanent and long-term Filipino migrants in Central and Northern Luzon.
CFO Chairperson Dante Ang II said the new office will serve as a one-stop assistance hub for Filipinos who are migrating abroad or returning home.
“Maglalagay po kami ng tao sa Clark Airport para ‘yung mga nangangailangan ng frontline services ay ma-assist namin at hindi na nila kailangan pang pumunta ng Manila,” he said.
The Clark satellite office will provide essential services such as pre-departure orientation, guidance and counseling, documentation, and other migrant support services.
It will cater to clients from nearby provinces including Pampanga, Tarlac, Bulacan, Bataan, Nueva Ecija, Zambales, and the Ilocos Region.
The initiative is part of CFO’s partnership with Luzon International Premiere Airport Development Corporation, the operator of CRK, to strengthen migrant assistance at key travel hubs and ensure a more convenient experience for outbound and returning Filipinos.
Ang said the expansion reflects the agency’s commitment to bring government services closer to the people and to promote safe, informed, and well-prepared migration.
“Ang layunin po naming ay mapadali at mapalapit ang serbisyo ng CFO para sa ating mga kababayang lumalabas ng bansa o bumabalik mula sa kanilang paninirahan abroad,” he added.
Once completed, the new office will complement CFO’s Central Office in Manila and its digital platforms that continue to provide information and assistance to Filipinos overseas and their families.
Ang also reaffirmed that the CFO’s ongoing efforts form part of the government’s broader thrust to link Filipinos abroad with their homeland.
“Habang sila ay nasa ibang bansa, gusto po nating manatiling konektado sila sa Pilipinas economically, culturally, and emotionally,” he said. (CLJD/MJSC, PIA Region 3-Pampanga)
