The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) recognizes the outstanding organizations from Central Luzon that have demonstrated a strong commitment to quality management and performance excellence through the 2024 Philippine Quality Award (PQA) Regionalization Program.
The Philippine Quality Award (PQA) is the highest level of national recognition for organizational performance excellence in the country. It was established through Republic Act No. 9013, also known as the Philippine Quality Award Act, to promote quality and productivity in both the public and private sectors.
The PQA Regionalization Program, established under DTI Department Administrative Order 22-12, serves as a stepping stone toward national recognition and the prestigious PQA. Through this initiative, DTI aims to encourage organizations to adopt world-class standards and continuously improve their operations to enhance competitiveness and sustainability.
The Regional Awardees are:
Recognition for Proficiency in Quality Management (Level 2)
- La Consolacion University Philippines – City of Malolos, Bulacan
- Pampanga State Agricultural University – Magalang, Pampanga
Recognition for Commitment to Quality Management (Level 1)
- Angel Farmers Gourmet Food Corp. – Magalang, Pampanga
- Angeles City Local Government
- Department of Education (DepEd) – Schools Division Office of Aurora
- Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) – Bataan Field Office
- Don Honorio Ventura State University – Bacolor, Pampanga
- JVF Center for Technical Studies and Assessment, Inc.- Gapan City, Nueva Ecija
- Philippine Carabao Center at Central Luzon State University (CLSU) – Muñoz, Nueva Ecija
DTI-3 Regional Director Edna D. Dizon commended the awardees for their dedication to continuous improvement and operational excellence. “These organizations serve as role models in fostering a culture of quality and efficiency. Their achievements contribute to a more competitive and resilient local economy, paving the way for the region to be at the forefront of quality excellence,” she said.
The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) administers the PQA. Through the PQA, the agency continues to empower organizations by promoting quality standards that enhance consumer trust and global competitiveness.
The award is not a contest but a rigorous assessment process that helps organizations improve their management practices, competitiveness, and alignment with global standards.
