Cebu Pacific Relaunches Direct Flights to Kaohsiung, Taiwan

CEB Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Michael Ivan Shau says the Manila-Kaohsiung route marks an exciting chapter in the airline’s journey as it continues to expand its network and enhance connectivity across Asia.

Cebu Pacific (PSE: CEB), the Philippines’ leading carrier, officially relaunched its Manila-Kaohsiung flights at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 with a festive ceremony and giveaways for passengers.

The ceremony, held prior to the flight’s departure on Friday, August 16, 2024, was graced by Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista, Civil Aeronautics Board Executive Director Atty. Carmelo Arcilla, and representatives from the Manila International Airport Authority and the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO).

CEB’s Manila-Kaohsiung flights will now operate thrice a week – every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Transportation Secretary Jaime Bautista lauds Cebu Pacific for its ongoing initiatives to expand its operations and network.

In his speech during the event, CEB Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Michael Ivan Shau said the Manila-Kaohsiung route marks an exciting chapter in the airline’s journey as it continues to expand its network and enhance connectivity across Asia.

“The relaunch of this route is more than just the restoration of a connection between two vibrant cities. It is a reaffirmation of our commitment to bringing people together, fostering closer ties, and promoting mutual growth and development,” Shau added.

Bautista also lauded CEB for its ongoing initiatives catering to travelers from the Philippines.

“I am very happy that Cebu Pacific is expanding its operations. We have the same objective of providing comfortable, accessible, safe, sustainable, and affordable travel experience to the riding public,” Bautista said in his speech.

As an added treat, from August 16 to 25, travelers may book flights from Manila to Kaohsiung for as low as PHP 1,288 one-way base fare, exclusive of fees and surcharges. The travel period is from August 16, 2024 to January 31, 2025, allowing travelers to explore Kaohsiung right away with CEB’s exclusive seat sale.

Passengers of the Friday flight were given a taste of Taiwanese cuisine by CEB and received souvenirs from both Taiwan Tourism and TECO before their departure.

CEB operates in 35 domestic and 26 international destinations spread across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.
